In Episode 75, Gen and Jette talk about Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley. This is the third instalment of our #BookstagramMadeMeDoIt series.
As with all the books we love, we kind of rambled on a bit, but we also talked about how well Boulley balanced the crime genre with real world issues and Indigenous culture. It’s impossible not to fall in love with her characters and she keeps you guessing the whole time.
We’re happy to report that Firekeeper’s Daughter lives up to the Bookstagram hype!
Show Notes
Firekeeper’s Daughter is being adapted for Netflix with the Obamas’ production company, Higher Ground.
We had to point out the similarities to One Tree Hill. (And if you love teen dramas as much as we do, check out our other podcast Teenage Daydream!)
Do you love the fake dating trope as much as we do?
