21: Shade, The Changing Girl

21: Shade, The Changing Girl

In Episode 21 Gen and Jette talk about Shade, The Changing Girl, their 2019 May/June book club selection. This collection of comics on DC’s Young Animal imprint is about an alien, Loma, who embodies a teenage girl. The story follows Loma as she travels across the universe to earth in search of something better. But teenage lives are more difficult than expected. And people are after her to get Shade’s coat back.

This a story for anyone who’s ever felt out of place and a little mad. We had so much fun talking about it.
