Summer is (finally) winding down, and it’s time for a hangout episode! As you know, we are not made for the heat, so we’ve slowed down a bit on the reading and the writing—but don’t worry, we’re still absolutely crushing our reading goals.

Gen has done a surprising number of summer activities, and we’ve even done a bunch together, including a baseball game, a book launch, and a visit to Toronto’s Book Bar.
Is baseball the most romantic sport?
We had such a great time at the book launch for Fossil Feud by Maggie North, facilitated by Stephanie Archer and hosted by Hopeless Romantic Bookshop. We even made a new book friend!
Next on our bookish event list is Word on the Street, which Gen can finally go to this year. It’s happening September 26 & 27 at David Pecaut Square by Roy Thompson Hall. If you’re in Toronto, it’s free to attend and always a great time for book lovers, so definitely check it out!
Our next episode will be a book club episode, talking about The Dream Thieves graphic novel adaptation by Maggie Stiefvater and illustrated by Sas Milledge.
