In Episode 25 Gen and Jette discuss Sadie by Courtney Summers. This time we team up with local bookstore, BMV Queen, and their bookclub for a group discussion. We recorded on location and had an incredible discussion with an awesome group of ladies!
Sadie was the perfect book to discuss in a larger group! It provided so much to talk about, different takes, and some clever observations. Did anyone else catch the star motif?
Show Notes
As mentioned, we recorded on site in the bookstore cafe. The sound quality has its moments, but the discussion is worth it! Plus, sometimes it sounds like we’re in a spaceship which is pretty cool.
We cut a portion of the discussion at the end both for time and content. We went on a tangent about what qualifies as YA, which was very interesting, but was also something we covered in Episode 19. So we decided, for the sake of maintaining a reasonable episode length, to keep it focused on Sadie.
